Feb 2

A revised Common Council agenda for the Feb. 4th meeting was delivered tonight (Monday).  Only one change to the agenda (the other items are [here]). After the closed session to deal with Fox River cleanup / CERCLA issues, the Council will convene in a second closed session:

under Section 19.85(1)(e) of the Wisconsin Statutes concerning negotiation of a potential amendment to the development agreement with Plexus Corp.

I haven't heard what this could be about.  The Council recently (Dec. 17th) voted to increase borrowing for the project by $2.3 million.  That's equal to about 10% of the entire city budget.  That didn't affect tax rates for the end of December property tax bills, but it'll certainly have an impact at the end of 2009.

There is also to be a brief meeting of the Board of Public Works just after the special Finanance & Personnel committe and just prior to the Council meeting.  It'll squeeze in at approximately 6:50pm.  I missed the agenda for this meeting, too, until I looked on the City of Neenah web site.  Normally it would be included in the Council members' packets.

Anyway, the Board of Public works will recommend that the Council pay two bills amounting to about $27,000.  These are bills mentioned in the agenda for the Council meeting at the link in the first paragraph above.
